Elder Ling Xi is the person with the highest attainment in Spiritual Arrays within Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy. In preparation for the Great Spiritual Academy Tournament, Mu Chen was sent to her for Spiritual Array training by Tai Cang. Upon reaching her, after much begging by Ye Sun'Er, Ling Xi eventually gave Mu Chen a chance. After successfully passing her test, she took Mu Chen on as a disciple, attempting to teach him to open his Heart's Eye. However, as her patience wore thin, she eventually let him into the Spiritual Array House, where he almost lost his life, displaying his Great Pagoda Art in the process. This startled Ling Xi, who happened to cultivate similar Spiritual Art, which was the pair of Mu Chen's. This discovery would improve their relationship, as Ling Xi would later regain some of her lost memory on her connection to Qing Yanjing, Mu Chen's mother. She would later help Mu Chen in his cultivation as well as improving his Spiritual Array capabilities.
Ability[]
Ling Xi is an adept Spiritual Array Grandmaster, which make her stronger than most early levels of Sovereign Experts. She can form Arrays in a blink of an eye, ignoring common weakness that Spiritual Array Masters would have in that they need time to arrange their arrays. Although her Spiritual Energy cultivation is not very impressive, her Spiritual Array ability was more than enough to make her a respectable figure in Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy.
Story[]
After their initial separation in the Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy, she's not heard of again until Long Xian goes looking for Mu Chen to both try to capture and warn him about Ling Xi's predicament.[2][3] In the end, she was fine and well, learning from a remnant left behind by Qing Yanjing that allowed her to study up to the Heaven level of Scholar rank, with some insights into Ancestor Realm.[4] She travels together with Mu Chen until he goes searching for Heavenly Sovereign opportunities.

- She is also the adoptive sister of Mu Chen.
- Initially, she kinda loathes Mu Chen's Bloodline Bond with Jiu You, fearing that her Nine Netherbird Clan would not tolerate it and will forcefully break the bond, wounding Mu Chen in process. But Mu Chen rejected her proposal to undo the bond in a harmless way, citing that as long as Jiu You do not wish for it, he wouldn't sever the bond.
- She has an unconfirmed level of Spiritual Strength as she mostly uses her arrays, and people comment on her array strength. Although to be a Heaven Scholar she should at least be a Lesser Earth Sovereign.
