Qing Yanjing left behind Mu Chen.
"Goodbye my Son. Till we meet again."

Mu Chen's mother is held captive through the majority of the story; while gaining experience out in the Great Thousand World her body was nearly crippled and she could only use the strength of a Perfected Earth Sovereign[4]. She met and fell in love with Mu Feng and gave birth to Mu Chen however as her clan is very strict in regards to marriages of bloodlines and power she was deemed a traitor for birthing a "demon spawn" whom they have ordered to be killed on sight. She returned to her clan so she could protect them and thus she allowed herself to be imprisoned by the Grand Elder (and hoped Mu Chen would live a simple and happy life but she had utmost faith that should he choose to go on the road of a powerhouse despite not having any background he would become unrivaled.

She is the former genius of the Ancient Buddha Clan, and in the later part of the novel, she "snitches" on the Grand Elder, Futu Xian, and becomes the Grand Elder of the Ancient Buddha Clan by acquiring the acknowledgement of the Ancestral Pagoda the Saint Artifact of their Clan.[5] According to their old rules, the fact that she can controll it means shes the Grand Elder of the Clan. This also removes the label of Demon Spawn off Mu Chen.[6] During Mu Chen's trip to the Ancient Maha Clan to obtain the Primordial Immortal Body, Futu Xian, the previous Grand Elder requests that Mu Chen become the Ancient Buddha Clan Patriarch if he's successful in acquiring the Primordial Immortal Body in exchange, he will protect Mu Chen since both Futu Xian and Qing Yanjing knew the Maha Clan would fight to impede Mu Chen if he got it.[7] After the fight against the Maha Clan, Qin Tian gave Mu Chen the Great Thousand Golden Invitation to strengthening the Seal on The Fiend God and Qing Yanjing takes the peak experts of her Clan to the meeting.[8]

Trivia[]
