Spirit Stage could be considered as a dividing level. At this stage, one's battle power exceed far beyond cultivators of the Spiritual Rotation Stage. [1] Once one steps into the realm of Spirit Stage, he would condense/create his own Spirit (Divine Soul) in his Aura Sea, This is the biggest change from Spiritual Rotation Stage. [2]
The benefits of having own Spirit (Divine Soul) are:
- The Spirit is capable of automatically circulating the Spiritual Art. While, at the same time, the cultivator is also circulating the Spiritual Art with his own body. This will result in one’s cultivation would be twice as effective. Thus, the Spirit is extremely beneficial to one’s cultivation. [2]
- Ability to ingest a Beast's soul essence (Beast Spirit) which will then merge with the cultivator's Spirit. After the merging with the Beast's soul essence, the cultivator will gain a portion of the Beast's ability and physique.
Ingesting Beast's Soul Essences[]
A Spirit Stage powerhouse who ingests a Spiritual Beast’s Soul Essence will possess some of the distinct characteristics and strength that the Spiritual Beast had when it was alive. For example, Mu Feng’s Dragonfire Bird granted Mu Feng speed, while Zhou Ye’s Mountain Spirit Rhinoceros granted him pure strength. [3]
After one reaches Spirit Stage, the strongest attacking method is the Spiritual Beast’s Soul Essence that they ingest. Therefore, it is natural that their strength will be stronger if they ingest a stronger Spiritual Beast. However, normally, it should be quite difficult for a Spirit Stage powerhouse to ingest the Soul Essence of a Spiritual Beast that is stronger than them. Only a few lucky individuals could successfully do that, such as Mu Feng who at Spirit Stage but could ingest Dragonfire Bird that had strength at Heavenly Fusion Stage. [4]
An alternative to ingesting beast's soul essences is to form a Bloodline Bond between the Human and the Beast. Using this method will lead to a much more complete usage of the Beast’s capabilities. However, there is negative side of this method, as their lives are linked/tied together. No matter which side suffered a threat to their life, the other party would suffer a backlash from the Bloodline Bond. [2]
