Su Xuan is ranked third on the Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy Heavenly Ranking and is considered both strong and influential within the academy. After some prompting from her sister, Su Ling'Er, she invites Mu Chen to join Guo Xiong, Li Qing, her sister and herself on a mission to the White Dragon Hillock that turns out to be for White Dragon's Spirit Treasury. Later, when Mu Chen is facing off against He Yao and the Demon's Gate, she intervenes for the sake of Mu Chen. When Shen Cangsheng was chosen as a team leader for the Great Spiritual Academy Tournament, he ended up being on his team, along with He Yao, Yang Lin and Li Xuantong.
