Yang Hong was a well-known individual within the Spiritual Road and was considered a rival to Mu Chen during their time there. Like Mu Chen, he also chose to attend the Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy. He was also one of the four people that were able to get the top score during the Academy's entrance exam.[1]
When he first joined the Northern Heavens Spiritual Academy, he created the Wyvern Union which was quite a popular association among freshmen at first,[2] but upon being defeated by Mu Chen in the Freshman Exam the association was surpassed by the Goddess Luo Association in popularity among freshmen.[3]
He was later stunned after hearing that Mu Chen was able to defeat a Heavenly Transformation stage protector and acquire a Deity Tier Spiritual Art in the Spiritual Art's Hall, while his cultivation was only in the Late Spirit stage.[4]
After finally realizing that the gap between him and Mu Chen would only be growing larger, and decided to disband the Wyvern Union. He later decided to join the Demon's Gate and became a subordinate of He Yao, ranked fourth in the Academy's Heaven leaderboard.[5]
